Crash Alert: 2 killed in I-80 motorcycle accident
KIMBALL COUNTY, NE – An accident involving a motorcycle and another vehicle in Kimball County Monday night left two people dead, rivercountry.newschannelnebraska.com reports.
The motorcycle was apparently pulling onto I-80 from a shoulder near mile marker 29 when it was struck by a semitrailer, authorities said.
The two motorcycle riders were both pronounced dead at the scene. They were identified as 61-year-old Michael Zweigle and 57-year-old Laura Zweigle, both of Reno, Nebraska. The driver of the semi-truck was not hurt.
Troopers from the Nebraska State Patrol responded to the scene. No criminal charges are expected in connection with the accident.
