Crash alert: 3 hurt in collision
DODGE COUNTY, NE – A crash involving a semitrailer and an SUV in Dodge County Saturday left three people injured, the Omaha World-Herald reports.
The semi, which was carrying fireworks, collided with the Toyota Highlander at the intersection of Highway 77 and Road F at about 11 a.m.
The trailer went up in flames and the fireworks were exploding inside the vehicle when Nebraska state troopers arrived at the scene.
The occupants of both vehicles were extricated by witnesses. The driver of the SUV and two passengers were transported to area hospitals, while the semi driver was treated at the scene.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
