Crash alert: 5 hurt in 2-car accident
OMAHA, NE – A two-car collision in Omaha late Tuesday night left five people injured, three critically, according to ketv.com.
The accident happened before 11 p.m. in the vicinity of 52nd Street and Ames Avenue. A Pontiac going south on 52nd Street with four people inside slammed into a Chevy Malibu, police said.
Five people were taken to the Nebraska Medical Center. A 22-year-old woman who was a passenger in the Pontiac was among those critically injured.
Lamya Dancer, a 15-year-old who was also a passenger in the Pontiac, said she had been shot before the crash. Dancer said the shot was fired by someone in a vehicle that was following them. Her injury is not believed to be life-threatening.
