Crash alert: Man fatally struck on North Freeway
OMAHA, NE – A pedestrian was fatally struck while on the North Freeway in Omaha, according to a report from KETV.
Police said 29-year-old Andrew Woodard was trying to cross the roadway from east to west Thursday night when he was hit by a Mazda 3 in the northbound lanes just south of the exit for Cuming Street. He was then struck by a second vehicle, a Chevy Impala, at about 10:30 p.m. Woodard was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.
A third vehicle may also have been involved in the incident and left the scene, witnesses told police.
There is no word yet on whether charges will be filed.
