Crash Alert: Driver killed in Dodge County accident
SNYDER, NE – Authorities say a driver was killed when two vehicles collided in Dodge County Friday night, according to fremonttribune.com.
The accident happened at about 11:20 p.m. on Nebraska Highway 91, just east of Snyder.
A westbound two-door sedan crossed the center line and slammed into an eastbound Chevrolet Traverse, according to the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office.
The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. He had not been wearing his seatbelt, investigators said. The victim’s identity has not yet been released.
The occupants of the Traverse, who were wearing seatbelts, were transported to the hospital.
An investigation into the accident is continuing. The sheriff’s office believes that speed and alcohol were contributing factors.
