Crash Alert: UPDATE: Rollover accident victim upgraded to stable condition
LINCOLN, NE – The man injured in a single-vehicle rollover accident Monday has been upgraded to stable condition, but the hunt continues for the puppy who was in the vehicle with him at the time of the crash.
The Lincoln Journal Star reports that Mark Bixler, 56, was driving in rural Lancaster County when he lost control of his vehicle near 148th Street and Pine Lake Road sometime between 3:30 and 4 a.m. on June 8. The vehicle flipped and Bixler was ejected from the cab. He was taken to a local hospital for treatment and has been on the mend, but his girlfriend says she is still looking for Delylah, the 6-month-old teacup pitbull puppy who went missing after the incident.
A 10-year-old Labrador retriever who was also in the vehicle was found uninjured.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash. They do not believe that alcohol was a factor.
