Crash alert: 1 dead, 2 injured in Omaha collision
OMAHA, NE – A two-car collision in Omaha Sunday night left one person and two others injured, according to a report by KETV.
The accident happened shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of 42nd Street and Curtis Avenue. Police said the driver of a Chevrolet Traverse ran a stop sign and slammed into a Buick Enclave driven by 33-year-old Brittni McBride of Omaha.
McBride was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The driver of the Traverse and a passenger were hospitalized.
The Traverse was speeding at the time of the accident, according to investigators. Charges are pending against the driver, 18-year-old Jayden Johnson of Omaha.
