Crash alert: 11-year-old boy struck while riding bicycle
LINCOLN, NE – A boy is recovering after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bicycle, KLKN reported.
The accident happened on Tuesday. 11-year-old Oliver Daily was hit as he was riding with a friend down the block from his family’s home east of 27th Street and Old Cheney Road.
Oliver’s father came to the scene and took him to Bryan Medical Center West. The boy was not seriously injured and went home later that night after being treated at the hospital.
Oliver’s mother Ashley said that the driver involved was distracted and did not slow down before the accident. She expressed her concerns about the amount of distracted driving taking place in the city.
