Crash alert: 2 injured after motorcycle collides with deer
STANTON COUNTY, NE – Police responded to a collision between a motorcycle and a deer in Stanton County that left two people injured, according to News Channel Nebraska.
The accident happened at about 1:00 a.m. Saturday on Highway 24, about four miles west of Stanton. Authorities said 52-year-old David Burgess was riding a motorcycle westbound when the collision occurred. Burgess and a passenger were ejected and ended up in a ditch.
They were hospitalized at Faith Regional Health Services. Both would have been more seriously hurt had they not been wearing helmets, the Stanton County Sheriff said. The deer was killed.
