Crash alert: Boy on bicycle collides with vehicle in Omaha
OMAHA, NE – A boy was critically injured when he collided with a vehicle while riding his bicycle in Omaha Monday, KETV reported.
The incident happened at about 4 p.m. in the vicinity of 90th Street and Boyd Street. Police said the
child was riding through the intersection when he crashed into the side of a truck. The driver of the vehicle is believed to have had a green light at the time, according to investigators.
The boy was taken to Bergan Mercy Hospital with what were described as critical head and chest injuries. The driver was not injured.
The boy was not wearing a helmet, police said.
