Crash alert: Boy on bike hit by pickup truck
COLUMBUS, NE – A boy was seriously injured when he was hit by a pickup truck while riding his bicycle in Columbus Wednesday, News Channel Nebraska reported.
The child was riding just before 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of 23rd Street and 23rd Avenue when he was struck by the truck, according to the Columbus Fire Department.
He was taken to Columbus Community Hospital, where his injuries were described as serious but not life-threatening.
The accident is under investigation by Columbus Police.
