Crash alert: Collision leaves 2 hurt
OMAHA, NE – A collision on a street in Omaha on Saturday afternoon left two men hospitalized, according to KMTV.
Investigators say 20-year-old Jorge G. Valenzuela Saenz was speeding as he drove a Dodge Charger north on 72nd Street. His vehicle slammed into a Dodge Ram truck as it was making a left onto Bedford Avenue, causing the truck to roll onto its side.
The driver of the Ram, 36-year-old Rudy J. Camarillo, was transported to Bergan Mercy with a severe leg laceration that was not regarded as life-threatening. Saenz sustained minor injuries.
Police cited Saenz for reckless driving but said alcohol use was not a contributing factor in the crash.
