Crash alert: Driver cited in death of Omaha motorcyclist
OMAHA, NE – An Omaha woman has been cited in connection with an accident that killed a motorcyclist, according to a report by the Omaha World Herald.
The incident happened just after 12:30 p.m. on May 13 in the vicinity of 132nd Street and Harrison Streets.
49-year-old Diana M Ramer, driving a Buick LaCrosse sedan, was starting to turn from 132nd onto Harrison Street when she struck a Honda 150cc motorcycle, police said. The motorcycle rider, 33-year-old Maksim Shcerbiy of Omaha, was pronounced dead at Creighton University Medical Center-Bergan Mercy.
Police have now cited Ramer on suspicion of misdemeanor motor vehicle homicide. Ramer was not hurt in the accident.
