Crash alert: Driver cited in death of pedestrian in Omaha
OMAHA, NE – Police say the driver involved in a fatal crash in Omaha Monday afternoon has been cited, News Channel Nebraska reported.

24-year-old Jayden Johnston was behind the wheel of a car that ran a red light at 12:51 p.m. near 29th Street and Leavenworth Street, according to investigators. The car struck a pickup truck, which then hit a pedestrian who was standing on the corner. The victim was identified as 44-year-old Edgar Badillo of Omaha.
Police have announced that Johnson is now facing a misdemeanor count of motor vehicle homicide.
