Crash alert: Driver injured when SUV slams into tree
LINCOLN, NE – The driver of an SUV was hospitalized after the vehicle slammed into a tree on a street in Lincoln on Monday, according to a report by the Lincoln Journal Star.
The accident, involving a Jeep SUV, happened at about 2 p.m. near the intersection of 32nd Street and U Street. One witness said the vehicle hit a tree on one side of U street, went around the block and struck a tree on the other side. Alcohol may have been a factor in the incident, police said.
The SUV rolled onto its side and the driver was taken to a hospital with injuries described as non-life threatening. Lincoln Police responded to the scene along with Lincoln Fire and Rescue.
