Crash alert: Driver pulled to safety in Omaha
OMAHA, NE – A man was rescued from his vehicle after a collision on a street in Omaha Sunday morning, according to KMTV.
Police responded to the scene just east of N 78th and Blondo Streets at about 1 a.m. Authorities say 25-year-old Joseph Hamilton was driving a Subaru Legacy when he crossed over the center line and struck a Ford Edge driven by 39-year-old Shannon Jones.
Hamilton, whose vehicle caught fire, was pulled to safety by Jones and other rescuers. He was taken to CHI Bergan Mercy Hospital with leg injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.
Jones sustained a minor leg injury.
