Crash alert: Fatal head-on collision on Highway 30
NORTH PLATTE, NE – Authorities say a head-on crash on a Nebraska highway Wednesday night left at least one person dead and three others injured, according to News Channel Nebraska.
The accident happened at about 9:15 p.m. on Highway 30 westbound near mile marker 172, between Hershey and North Platte. According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, one car was passing another when it slammed into an SUV that was heading east.
The person killed in the crash was the driver of the passing car. Three people inside the SUV were transported to Great Plains Health. No details have been released yet on the severity of their injuries.
