Crash alert: Man arrested in crash that killed his brother
BRIDGEPORT, NE – A man is in custody after a crash that killed his brother east of Bridgeport Friday, according to a report by KNEB News.
The accident happened at about 1:30 a.m. on Highway 92 near an ethanol plant. Authorities say 21-year-old Joshua Brown was driving a white pickup when he was hit from behind by a Pontiac G6 driven by his brother, 27-year-old Trey Brown.
Joshua Brown was ejected from the pickup and pronounced dead at the scene. Trey Brown was arrested on several charges, including Motor Vehicle Homicide and DUI. He was taken to the Scotts Bluff County Detention Center. Trey Brown’s son was with him in his car but was not hurt.
Both drivers were suspected to have been under the influence of alcohol, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
