Crash alert: Man critically hurt after being hit by bus
LINCOLN, NE – An investigation is underway after a man was hit by a bus in Lincoln Monday afternoon. KETV reports the incident happened just before 1 p.m. at the intersection of 1st Street and O Street.
According to witnesses, the 64-year-old man got up from a grassy area near the curb as the bus was pulling up to the bus stop, and then stumbled into the side of the bus. Investigators believe that the man was under the influence of alcohol at the time. Video evidence is being reviewed.
The man was transported to a local hospital and was listed in critical condition.
The bus driver, a 63-year-old woman, was not cited in the accident.
