Crash alert: Man ticketed after crashing into semi in Lincoln
LINCOLN, NE – A man has been issued a ticket in connection with a crash involving his car and a semi in Lincoln, the Lincoln Journal Star reported.
22-year-old Matthew Hodges was given the ticket for failure to yield the right-of-way. Hodges was driving a Honda Accord when the accident happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. Sunday at 84th Street and Nebraska 2.
According to police, Hodges turned left in front of the semi, which then hit his vehicle. At the time, witnesses said the turn lane had a flashing yellow light.
Hodges was hospitalized with serious injuries. The 50-year-old truck driver was not hurt.
