Crash alert: Police identify man cited in Lincoln accidents
LINCOLN, NE – A Lincoln man has been cited on numerous allegations following a spree of accidents on Tuesday, according to a report in the Lincoln Journal Star.
This is an update to a previous story.
Police identified the man as 27-year-old Mark Nickel. He has been cited on suspicion of DUI, leaving the scene of an accident and reckless driving, among other allegations.
Nickel is accused of being under the influence when he struck mailboxes, mobile homes, a truck and a street sign while he was behind the wheel of a Dodge truck.
Lincoln police say it was clear to officers that Nickel was intoxicated, and open beer cans were discovered in the truck.
He was taken for detox but has not yet been formally charged.
