Crash alert: Roads closed for Lincoln South Beltway work

LINCOLN, NE – Drivers were advised to expect delays due to road closures this week for construction of the Lincoln South Beltway project.

KOLN reports lanes were closed Monday on Highway 2 west of South 120th Street. The lanes were scheduled to reopen to traffic on Wednesday.

Another closure will go into effect Friday on Saltillo Road between South 84th and South 110th Street.

The Nebraska Department of Transportation anticipates the project will be completed by the summer of 2021. NDOT reminds motorists to drive cautiously when traveling in and near construction zones.
