Crash alert: Suspect crashes in Omaha after police chase
OMAHA, NE – Authorities say a suspect being chased by police crashed in northwest Omaha Thursday afternoon. KETV reported that the incident occurred near 65th Street and Fowler Avenue.
Omaha police say the suspect was being followed on foot initially. The person then jumped into a car and took off, but ended up crashing into another vehicle. After trying to escape on foot, the suspect was apprehended by police.
One person was critically injured in the incident. It is unclear whether the injured person was the suspect or someone in the other car.
Police said one of their cruisers was also struck in the chase, but no officers were hurt.
