Crash alert: Victim identified in Highway 30 wreck
NORTH PLATTE, NE – Authorities have identified the driver killed in an accident near North Platte on Wednesday night, according to WOWT.

The Lincoln Sheriff’s Office said the victim was 33-year-old Douglas Thompson of North Platte. The crash happened on U.S. Highway 30 west.
Thompson was trying to pass another car on the highway when he crashed head-on into an SUV, investigators said. He was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three people in the SUV sustained injuries regarded as non-life threatening.
