Crash alert: Woman hurt in accident on I-80 east
COZAD, NE – A woman was hospitalized after an accident involving a truck on Interstate 80 in Dawson County, KRVN reported.
The incident happened just after 8 p.m. Saturday on eastbound I-80 at the Cozad interchange. Two people driving eastbound had pulled onto the shoulder of the highway.
Authorities say 42-year-old Simone Dennis-Colin then walked into the driving lane of I-80, where she was noticed by an approaching semi. The driver moved into the passing lane but the woman kept going and ran into the truck’s front right fender.
Dennis-Colin was hospitalized at CHI Health Good Samaritan in Kearney, where she was listed in fair condition Monday.
