Crash alert: Woman hurt in Harlan County boat collision
HARLAN COUNTY, NE – A woman was taken to the hospital following a boat accident on the south shore at the Harlan County Reservoir, News Channel Nebraska reported.
According to Nebraska Game and Parks, the incident happened as the 60-year-old Kenesaw woman and a 33-year-old Kearney man were each operating their boats and accelerating to leave Patterson Harbor.
The woman’s boat was struck from behind by the other vessel and she was thrown into the water, officials said. She was transported to Phelps County Memorial Health Center.
The operator of the other boat was cited for No Boater Safety Education.
