Crash alert: 2 hospitalized after crash near Fremont school
FREMONT, NE – Police said a crash near an eastern Nebraska school early Monday morning left two people seriously injured.
The Kearney Hub reported the incident occurred shortly after midnight in the 1400 block of East Second Street near Grant Elementary School in Fremont.
Authorities said one vehicle was being driven at a significant rate of speed when it crashed into the back of another vehicle that was parked. Police said both appear to have been SUVs.
Rescuers removed two males from the first vehicle, who were then transported by medical helicopters to trauma centers in Omaha. No details were immediately released regarding the cause of the accident.
