Crash alert: Construction worker critically hurt after power line struck
OMAHA, NE – A construction worker was critically injured in an accident at a work site in Omaha Thursday morning, according to KETV.
Crews were digging at about 8:30 a.m. in the area of North 68th Plaza when they struck an underground power line, officials said. The worker suffered an electrical shock.
First responders arrived and transported the man to Nebraska Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition. The incident caused a power outage affecting over 450 customers in the area but power was restored about 45 minutes later, the Omaha World-Herald reported.
