Crash alert: 1 dead, 1 injured in rollover accident in Lincoln
LINCOLN, NE – One person was killed and another injured in a car accident in Lincoln Sunday morning, according to a report by KOLN.
Authorities said a 24-year-old man was driving a Ford Mustang at about 7:45 a.m. when he lost control while turning onto the westbound on-ramp of Interstate 80 from North 27th Street.
The car went off the roadway and rolled over. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger sustained injuries that were not life-threatening. She was checked out by Lincoln Fire and Rescue and left on her own.
The crash caused the I-80 on-ramp to be shut down for about two and a half hours. Investigators believe there had been alcohol use by the driver.
