Crash alert: Omaha man hurt after losing control of vehicle on Highway 275
STANTON COUNTY, NE – An Omaha man was injured when his vehicle crashed on a highway in Stanton County Wednesday morning.
According to the Norfolk Daily News, the accident happened just after 9:30 a.m. as 21-year-old Elijah Schoonover was driving a straight truck on Highway 275 westbound, about seven miles east of Norfolk.
The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office said Schoonover lost control of the vehicle, which rolled into a median in the roadway. Schoonover was taken to a Norfolk hospital. Details on his injuries were not released.
Rescue and emergency crews from Stanton County and Norfolk responded to the accident scene, and the incident impacted traffic for over an hour.
