Crash alert: Driver killed in collision on Highway 75
WASHINGTON COUNTY, NE – Authorities say a young man was killed when his car collided with a truck in eastern Nebraska last week, according to the Omaha World-Herald.
The accident happened at about 10:15 a.m. Wednesday as 20-year-old Julian Alzate was driving a convertible on U.S. Highway 75, just south of Herman.
According to witnesses, Alzate was going over the speed limit when his vehicle crossed over the center line and crashed into a semi-trailer truck that was going in the opposite direction.
Alzate was pronounced dead at the scene, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office said. The driver of the truck was not hurt.
