Crash alert: 1 dead, 2 injured in Otoe County rollover accident
OTOE COUNTY, NE – An accident in Otoe County last week left one person dead and two others injured, officials said. News Channel Nebraska reports the accident occurred Wednesday at 11:23 a.m. on C Road near 190th Street.
According to investigators with the Otoe County Sheriff’s Office, an 18–year-old lost control of a vehicle while heading east, went off the road, and crashed into a ditch. The vehicle rolled over and slammed into a utility pole. A passenger in the backseat was ejected and pronounced dead at the scene. He was identified as 23-year-old Josiah Williams of Lincoln.
The driver and a 15-year-old girl from Lincoln who was sitting in the front seat were both hospitalized. No one in the vehicle had been wearing seat belts, the sheriff’s office said.
