Crash alert: Motorcyclist seriously injured in collision with car
SCOTTSBLUFF, NE – A motorcyclist was seriously injured when he collided with a car in Scottsbluff Monday night, according to News Channel Nebraska.
The accident happened at about 7:30 p.m. at 10th Avenue and 17th Street. Investigators determined that 27-year-old Donald Willbanks of Scottsbluff was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle at a high rate of speed when he reportedly did not yield to a stop sign at the intersection. His motorcycle hit the front bumper of a Ford Escape driven by 53-year-old Kimberly Brehm of Scottsbluff.
Willbanks, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown off the motorcycle and landed in a yard. He was taken to the Regional West Medical Center for treatment.
Scottsbluff Police and local first responders were on the scene of the accident.
