Crash alert: Nebraska state trooper hurt when vehicle hits patrol car
DORCHESTER, NE – A Nebraska State Patrol trooper was injured in an accident in Saline County Wednesday morning, according to 1011 Now.
It happened at about 6:15 a.m. on Highway 15 in Dorchester, as the trooper was in his Ford F-250 patrol vehicle. Authorities say a Dodge Ram went over the center line of the highway and hit the patrol car on the front driver’s side.
The trooper and the other driver sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening, and both were taken to an area hospital. The trooper, who was wearing his seat belt at the time of the accident, was treated and released.
An investigation into the crash will be conducted by the Saline County Sheriff’s Office.
