Crash alert: Newlywed couple involved in head-on crash on Highway 91
DUNNING, NE – A man was killed and his wife was hospitalized after the recently married couple was involved in a head-on crash in Blaine County, KNOP reports.
This is an update to a previous story.
The fatal wreck occurred at about 11:15 p.m. Friday on Highway 91. Authorities said Ty and Shelby Millison of Dunning were driving in a Lincoln Town Car when it was struck by a F-350 pickup truck. According to the Blaine County Sheriff, the crash happened when the pickup truck’s driver overcorrected after one of the vehicle’s tires had dropped off the edge of the roadway.
Ty Millison died on impact in the crash, while Shelby Millison was hospitalized in a medically induced coma, the sheriff said. The pickup driver sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.
The couple, both in their 20s, had been married on August 8.
