Crash alert: Woman killed in north Omaha car accident
OMAHA, NE – Police say a driver was killed in a car accident in north Omaha Wednesday morning, KPTM reports.
The victim was identified as 34-year-old Deana Lewis. She was driving a Chevy Tahoe east on Sorensen Parkway at about 3 a.m. when she overcorrected, struck a curb and barrier, and overturned her vehicle.
The car went down an embankment and ended up in a back parking lot in the area of 46th Street and Redman Avenue. Lewis was partially ejected from the car and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
No one else was in the vehicle. Police are continuing to investigate the fatal crash.
