Crash Alert: 1 dead, 1 injured following Blair collision
BLAIR, NE – One person is dead and another is injured following a head-on crash that took place south of Blair on Tuesday.
According to the Washington County Post-Tribune & Enterprise, the crash occurred shortly before noon, when a 2011 Ford F150 traveling south on US 75 when it drifted into the northbound lanes and struck a 2016 Subaru Forrester.
Emergency responders with the Blair and Ft. Calhoun fire departments arrived to find the pickup truck on fire. Its driver, 37-year-old Christopher Gorham of Bellevue, was airlifted to Nebraska Medicine in critical condition.
Shawn Kimbrough, the 35-year-old driver of the Subaru, was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a resident of Springdale, AR.
US 75 at County Road P35 was shut down for two hours as the crash was investigated and cleared from the roadway.
