SARPY COUNTY, NE – The driver of a cement truck was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Gretna last Thursday, KFOR reports.
The incident occurred at Highway 370 and Wickersham Boulevard shortly before noon, when the 18-year-old driver of a passenger vehicle made a left-hand turn in front of a cement truck driven by 58-year-old Omaha resident Gregory Brennan. The collision sent the truck careening into a ditch, where it overturned. Brennan is believed to have died at the scene.
Emergency services took the teenaged driver and his 68-year-old grandmother, a passenger at the time of the crash, to a nearby hospital. Their current conditions are unknown.
