Crash Alert: DCSO will no longer respond to non-injury accidents
DOUGLAS COUNTY, NE – The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office announced earlier this week that it would no longer respond to traffic collisions that do not involve an injury.
According to KMTV, the decision was made in response to a recent raft of injury collisions, which has stretched the Sheriff’s Office thin. They say that anyone involved in a non-injury collision should exchange information with the other driver or drivers, and that normal service should resume soon.
The decision underscores the rise in injury collisions that have occurred across the county in recent weeks.
