Crash Alert: Semis collide in Brady, resulting in fire
BRADY, NE – Two semis collided on I-80 Wednesday evening, resulting in a fire that brought traffic to a crawl for several hours.
KHGI reports that the collision occurred at mile marker 205 on westbound I-80, a few miles southeast of Brady, at about 7 p.m. One semi struck the other as it was merging lanes, sending one vehicle into a ditch on the north side of the interstate and the other into the eastbound lanes and a ditch on the southern side.
Diesel spilled onto the roadway and then caught fire. Emergency responders quickly brought the blaze under control.
No injuries have been reported.
Traffic flow was restored by 10:30 p.m.
