Crash alert: Woman hurt in crash involving semi and SUV near I-80
LINCOLN, NE – A crash involving a truck and an SUV in Lincoln left a woman seriously injured, the Lincoln Journal-Star reports.
The accident happened Tuesday in the area of U.S. 77/North 56th Street near Interstate 80 at about 12:30 p.m. The Nebraska Highway Patrol said the woman was driving an SUV south on U.S. 77 and hit a semi that was coming off I-80 and making a left turn from the off-ramp.
Emergency crews extricated the woman after she became trapped in her vehicle, which was pinned under the semi. She was taken to Bryan West where she was listed in serious but stable condition. The truck driver was not injured.
The NHP is investigating the accident.
