Crash alert: 18-month-old child fatally struck by pickup truck in Douglas County
DOUGLAS COUNTY, NE – An 18-month old girl died after being hit by a pickup truck on private property, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said.
According to WOWT, the accident happened near Dutch Hall Road just northwest of Bennington at about 7 p.m. Saturday. Investigators said the child’s father was driving the pickup truck when he hit her. The girl was pronounced dead at an Omaha hospital.
The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office.
