Crash alert: Pedestrian struck by vehicle while working on car in Sarpy County
BELLEVUE, NE – A pedestrian was struck by a car after their own vehicle broke down in Sarpy County early Thursday morning, according to WOWT.
The incident happened on 36th Street north of Highway 370 in Bellevue shortly before 3 a.m. Authorities said the victim was hit while working on their car that had stalled out.
The person was hospitalized in critical condition. The driver of the vehicle involved was reported to be cooperating with investigators.
South 36th Street was shut down between Edgerton Drive and Raynor Parkway for about 90 minutes during the investigation of the crash.
