Crash alert: Pickup driver dies in head-on crash with road grader near Cedar Bluffs
CEDAR BLUFFS, NE – Authorities say a driver was killed when his pickup truck collided with a road grader Sunday in Saunders County.
According to WOWT, the victim was driving a Ford F-150 pickup west on Highway 109 near Cedar Bluffs shortly after 4 p.m. when he crossed the center line. The vehicle crashed head-on into a John Deere 770 road grader driven by a worker for the Nebraska Department of Transportation, investigators said.
The pickup truck driver, a 69-year-old man from Fremont, was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman who was riding with him was seriously injured and transported to Fremont Methodist Health.
The Cedar Bluffs Fire and Rescue Department and the Saunders County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of the accident.
