Crash alert: Suspected drunk driver arrested after crash at Lincoln car dealership
LINCOLN, NE – Police arrested a suspected drunk driver following a car accident in Lincoln early Wednesday morning, KOLN reports.
The crash happened in the area of North 56th Street and East O Street at about 2:30 a.m. Lincoln police said a 19-year-old man driving a Toyota Avalon lost control while headed west on O Street. The vehicle struck a curb, overturned and then hit two vehicles in the lot of a local car dealership. The driver was not injured in the incident and refused medical treatment, according to police.
Responding officers said he showed indications of being intoxicated, and his blood alcohol content was found to be above the legal limit. The man was arrested at a treatment center and now faces DUI-Minor In Possession and negligent driving charges.
