Crash alert: Van and semi involved in deadly collision on Highway 92
LOUP CITY, NE – Authorities in central Nebraska responded to a deadly collision involving a van and a semi tractor-trailer on Friday morning, reports the Kearney Hub.
The Sherman County Sheriff’s Office said the van was going east on U.S. Highway 92 near Loup City at about 10 a.m. when it crashed into the westbound truck head-on.
A passenger in the van was declared dead at the scene. The driver and another passenger were rushed to CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital. No information was immediately released on the extent of their injuries. The driver of the semi was not hurt.
The wreck is now under investigation by the Nebraska State Patrol.
