Crash alert: Wrong-way accident on I-480 in Omaha leaves driver dead
OMAHA, NE – A driver going the wrong way was killed in a collision in Omaha late Sunday night, according to WOWT.
The incident happened on Interstate 480 near Dodge Street, where authorities say 35-year-old Agang Wol was driving north in the southbound lanes at about 11 p.m.
Wol’s vehicle struck another vehicle nearly head-on, and Wol was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver, a 33-year-old woman, was taken to Nebraska Medicine with severe injuries but she was expected to survive.
Omaha police are investigating the crash.
