Crash alert: Collision between vehicles in York County kills both drivers
YORK, NE – A collision between two vehicles in York County Wednesday night left both drivers dead, according to the Lincoln Journal Star.
The York County Sheriff’s Department said 68-year-old Danny L. Foster of Gresham was driving a Dodge Caravan west on U.S. 34 near Road M at about 11 p.m. when he veered into the eastbound lane. Foster’s vehicle struck a GMC Sierra pickup truck that was headed east.
Gresham and the other driver, 73-year-old Melvin G. Preslicka of York, were both pronounced dead at the scene. Neither man was wearing a seat belt, officials said. No one else was in either vehicle at the time.
Investigators believed that alcohol was a factor in the accident.
