Crash alert: Woman killed when SUV rear-ends dump truck in Fremont
FREMONT, NE – A woman was killed when her sport utility vehicle collided with a dump truck in Fremont Monday morning, state troopers said.
According to the Fremont Tribune, 48-year-old Angela Guarin was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe at about 10:05 a.m. when she rear-ended the dump truck as it was stopped in a northbound lane of U.S. Highway 77. The Nebraska State Patrol said the truck had been waiting to make a turn onto Ridgeland Drive when it was struck.
Guarin died of injuries sustained in the wreck. The driver of the dump truck, 58-year-old Gregory Goree of Fremont, was not seriously injured.
