Crash alert: 5 injured in Stanton County collision between pickup and SUV
STANTON COUNTY, NE – Five people were injured when a pickup truck collided with an SUV in Stanton County last week, reports the Kearney Hub.
The vehicles crashed at the intersection of Highway 32 and Highway 57 Thursday evening at about 7 p.m. The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office said 31-year-old Angel Sandoval of Madison was driving a pickup that pulled into the path of an SUV headed south. The impact sent both vehicles off the road and into a ditch.
Sandoval was pulled from the wreckage and rushed to Faith Regional Health Services along with his two children, ages 10 and 8. The other driver, 34-year-old Mistie Foote of Clarkson, and her teenage daughter were taken to the same hospital. No information was immediately released on the conditions of the victims, though the sheriff’s office said seatbelts and airbags prevented them from being more seriously injured.
The intersection was partially shut down for about an hour for the investigation and cleanup.
